| She Wagged Her Tail |
|
When I went to pick up Bonnie I felt an over whelming amount of emotion as I saw the future home of this unwanted baby. Oh so perfect, with her three goldens over fed and happy. Tabby cats peering around corners and the forest and yard they all share. We got to the families home and carried the kennel in. There peering from a carpeted stairway looked with wide eyed curiosity a little black pig. I got down to her level explaining to her exactly what we were going to do and to be brave. She lifted her nose to mine and gave me a kiss.. I wonder when I get home if my Willy was there telling her it would be okay and to give my Mom a kiss. I saw my opportunity and with her being cornered I shoved her screaming into the kennel. I cry for her and for what she thinks I have done... tricking her... taking her from her family. I pull myself together, they were going to discard her like she was worthless. They will never be touched by the magic this pig had to offer them... the intelligence, the teachings of a pig in all things that matter. When we arrive at her new home she looks unknowing over the edges of the kennel... this is now her safety zone. A little food will do it after she has had plenty of time to feel the good place her journey has brought her too. Wag your tail Pris and let me know you feel okay about where you are - you tell me, I urge her. It is a good place, you will be loved forever, you show me!!! And with this she wagged her tail... |
