| In 1993 the day after Christmas brought a very special little package. It was a typical frosty morning and out in this cold was a little black baby piglet rooting around in the front pasture . After several failed attempts we finally got him into an unused dog run. At the time a horse rental up the road had a petting zoo..they were NOT getting him back for many reasons .We did advertise on the radio and called the local shelters, after several days it was decided that Willy was home. He is my first and wants everyone including me to remember that! |

| Winnie had a very good start in life and was loved very much, until the guardian had to give her up for health reasons. A friend took her to his work with him , and when he left the job forever he abandoned Winnie. It was by chance that the first guardian came to check on her several months later at the auto wreckers. She found little Winnie penned, without water and almost starved to death. Winnie has been here almost two years now and still eats like she may never see food again. |

| The
shelter had received a call about a little pig that needed a home. Erma is
ten years old and the family was moving into a subdivision and could not
take her. Despite all of the things the matter with this little girl, her feet had never been done, she couldn't hear that well, fat blind and had tumours she moved around pretty good. If I can't see Erma out side all I have to do is look for my horses, "she loves them!" When I arrive under any cirmuctstance to bring a pig home I tell them the things I know will be important to them. You are coming to live on a farm and there is good food, you will be safe and you will live with me forever.. No matter what the circumstance it breaks my heart as this little innocent is being ripped away from the only thing they knew ...no matter how terrible the unknown can be worse. |
