Saturday was a delight! We lucked out and had a beautiful, sunny autumn day for our work party at Hearts on Noses!
We shovelled gravel, scooped poop, raked hay, clipped hooves, washed bowls, filled waters, clipped branches, tidied up debris, and cut up downed trees for firewood. Don't forget all the head scratches, belly rubs, and snacks we fed to the sweet and clever residents!
We made it a full-on potluck this time, and holy moly were there some tasty dishes! (Literally everything was YUM!)
Thanks so much to everyone who took the time to make it out to Mission, and spent their day caring for these lucky beings who deserve nothing less than total love, comfort, and admiration!

Work Party - July 17, 2022
Thank you so much to everyone who came out to help yesterday! Best of Work Parties! The sun came out and kindred spirits arrived armed with love and muscles. This was so needed and will carry me forward now. So many decent kind poeple working so hard here. We even had snacks and treats after. I loved Today, Thank you all so very much!!. BIG SHOUT Out to Laura Bluestar for making this happen. Vegan Supply for all the treats and the support of Liberation B. C.

Pizza for Pigs Day July 16,2016
This Saturday at 1:00 pm I will stop clean up work here to feed the pigs as it is ``Pizza for Pigs Day``
I just spent about $140.00 of your donations to pay for this very special day for the pigs. In reality it is a small amount for the price the pigs paid when they arrived here. They became one of the herd and for most days there is a regular diet fed . Quite a few of these pigs are unwanted house pigs who got the left overs and dined on various taste sensations from the kitchen counter. When I have left overs its very difficult to decide who should get that little offering and then to walk by so many others with their noses in the air wondering why not me? This is why I don't accept little bags of this and that. As I can't do that to any of them and so the house pigs always get it and they get enough treats! Every pig here is as valuable to me as the next. There are no favorites, they are loved each and every one of them so very much. If you would like to volunteer Saturday we start about 9:30ish , please join us and the pigs on this, their special day! Wee look forward to seeing you here! |
